Programming from DOS worked quite nicely on my nForce 3 motherboard and SB Live! I think I read somewhere that there are some problems with newer motherboards, but I can't find any source. Support for them as keyboards and the TQS mouse should be pretty transparent too. Or would an old $50 B/W 486 notebook be needed to do this? Once a configuration file is downloaded you can use them as a regular joystick/throttle combination (XP even has a joystick profile for them) IF you have a joystick port on your computer. Does this work with the computers coming out these last few years? As I understand it, you can use a DOS boot floppy with the updated TM software to download keyboard configurations to the sticks. You'd probably have to ask Bob Church about that, but I seriously doubt that any more would be produced (unless you took the business upon yourself ). Is there any way/place to get the stickworks chips at all? I wish I would have looked into this a couple of years ago when they were still available! There had to have been prototypes while it was being tested, which would mean they could be made in limited quantities again without much hassle (if the raw chips are still on the market).
